I think most people would agree that getting recognition from your peers is one of the ultimate compliments.  Receiving a compliment from people who you regard so highly is enough to put you in a great mood for a long time.  As some many know, photography has been a lifelong passion of mine.  I have been working for a very long time in order to improve my craft and it has been a long, yet wonderful, journey.  I recently won a contest through an amazing photography website called The Bloom Forum.  It was a creative contest called Beyond the Snapshot, which focuses on lifestyle photography…my favorite style.  I submitted a picture of my son and husband running down the beaches of Cape May towards the water.  The combo of sand, sky and water really caught my eye and I am so glad I captured this fleeting moment.  Here is the post if you are interested it seeing it featured.  Below is the picture that won.  I was even more excited when I found out that I won a fuijifilm instax camera and a signed copy of a book called  Beyond Snapshots, which is signed by two very well known child photographers – Rachel Devine and Peta Mazey. What an honor!

There are so many wonderful photographers that I have met over the past few years and am so excited to call many of them friends or future friends.  Their work is a constant inspiration and I am so proud to be a member of such an amazing community.  Thank you again to the Bloom Forum.
