More and more, I am touched by people trusting me with their milestone moments. It is amazing to get a sneak peak into a world that I have little exposure. This session was for a family’s Christening at a Russian Orthodox Church in Northern Liberties. This church is in a neighborhood that I have spent a substantial amount of time, however, I have never noticed this church. Stepping inside I felt like I was taking a step back in time as well as being transported to Russia.
The Christening was a wonderful experience that I will not post in order to keep that experience private to the family. However, I will post a few pics of the family and the Godparents before the Christening. Let me preface with the fact that it was probably the hottest day of the summer at 100+ degrees with a lot of humidity. Thankfully the shade from the church provided some much needed relief from the sun to snap a few shots.
The family and their Godparents are some of the kindest and warmest people I have ever met. The kids were so much fun that I didn’t get a chance to feel the extreme heat. The little boy had an abundance of energy and the little girl was the sweetest big sister you ever want to meet. I had a great time with them.
The plus for me is that I get to see this family all over again in a few months because I am a second shooter at two of the Godparent’s wedding in a few months. I can’t wait!
Wow, Claire! These are adorable!!! Thank you so much :))
You are very welcome!!! You would never know it was so hot with how wonderful the kids were during the shoot. They are the cutest!
