ProjectTen: Ten women.
Ten photos.
On day ten.
Unfortunately, March and April were super busy and I did not have a chance to submit to April’s ProjectTen submission. Thankfully as the weather has greatly improved over the past few months, we have been able to get outside and have some fun.
For my father’s 70th birthday, we took a trip to Washington D.C. My son is obsessed with dinosaurs so he was ecstatic to see a Spinosaurus Statue outside the National Geographic Museum.
We walked so much of the city that weekend. It was a great way to spend time together, laughing and talking, instead of at a massive birthday celebration filled with chaos and little quality time together. Don’t get me wrong, I love our big celebrations together but there is something to be said about being able to focus on each other. It was also Easter weekend and Natalia was excited about her new Mickey Mouse doll from her grandparents. She made me laugh when she had him “walk” next to her while she was in the stroller.
Shortly after we went to Florida for an annual trip to Anna Maria Island. It is a great place to relax and just be together.
Once we returned from Florida, things were finally starting to bloom and the weather was getting warm. We decided to let the chickens roam on their own a bit. We hadn’t done it in the past because we were afraid of them being attacked by animals. They were so happy to be out of the coop. Natalia was equally happy when she first saw them out. I’m so glad that I had my camera with me so I could capture that adorable look on her face.
The past week has been spectacular. The weather is absolutely perfect right now and we have spent so much time outdoors. My kids love to play hide and seek. Here my daughter is saying “Come and find me, Mama.” as I can see her peak around the tree. She makes me smile.
