It is always an honor when a family member hires you to photograph their family.  They are very used to me practicing on them and to make the transition to a paying client is a huge deal to me.  Here is an image from a session with my cousins down at the Jersey shore.  I have no sisters and consider the few female cousins I have to be my sisters…my cousin here is one of those chosen sisters.  An accomplished business woman, wife and mother of three who is insanely organized and as nice as can be.  Thankfully behind every great woman is a great man and a very involved father.  They are a wonderful couple with three amazing boys.  The youngest boy is my godson, he has down syndrome and is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.  After his birth, his mother even helped start a down syndrome organization called Kiids, a support group for parents of children with down syndrome that does amazing things.  (I highly suggest you visit their site:  http://www.kiids.info/.)  The two older brothers are amazing with him, to a point where it tugs at your heart strings.  I can still remember when these three boys were born and I can’t believe how big they are already.  I am very proud of the young men they are becoming.
