Now that my son is in kindergarten, it feels like time is passing even faster. We are one month into the school year and I know the dead of winter will be back before we know it. Weekends can easily get filled with household chores and parties, feeling like the entire weekend went by without spending any true quality time together. In order to slow things down a bit, my husband and I are trying to schedule more family time into our weekends. To remove all of the noise and just have fun with the kids. Thankfully the weekends have been filled with the most glorious weather.
Our first outing was only a few minutes from our house at Brandywine Creek State Park. The kids loved having our undivided attention and being out, exploring nature. I encourage all parents to schedule downtime into your weekends on a regular basis. You will be handsomely rewarded.
In case you can’t tell…he is a wolly mammoth and these are his tusks. :O)
This was taken by my budding little photographer, Gavin.
One of my favorite spots in the park…looks like we’re in the jungle.
Even when we are separated she still wants to be in touch.
One of my favorite pictures of my son from the outing. Love.this.kid,
A little relaxation after our hike.
This one should be titled…Mom, Momma, Mommy, Moooooom!
